Hi there! I haven't posted in a while but I thought I would show some pictures of my ever growing belly! These are pictures from Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, I haven't taken many pictures of myself but I'm hoping to get my friends, Courtney and Lori, to take some soon. I will try to post them later. We have had a ton of snow this past week and haven't been in school for 5 days now! Looks like we will be making up the days on Saturday or at the end of the year. Boooo!!!!! Hopefully once the weather clears, we can take the pictures! I am looking forward to it!

Yes, Christmas Eve, Eve. That is what we call the day before Christmas Eve! I am getting so excited that Christmas is so near. I have all my shopping bought, wrapped, and under the tree! I was a little later than normal getting everything finished. I have 2 cards to share with you today. Both of these cards are cards that my stampers made at my last Stamp-a-Stack.

Well, the weather station is calling for a 70% chance of snow on Christmas Day! They said we haven't had a white Christmas since 1981. That was the year I was born so needless to say I haven't ever seen a white Christmas!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I made this beautful, very simple "snowy" card in hopes of snow!

100th POST! Merry Christmas!

I know it may not seem like a big accomplishment to many, but I am proud to say that this is my 100th post! Today I am posting a Christmas card that is one of my favorites that I have made this year. It is so cute and I love the wreath image. I am such a sucker for the traditional red and green Christmas colors and that's why I love this card! The stamp set is Welcome Christmas from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. I used Garden Green CS, Wild Wasabi CS, Real Red CS, and Whisper White CS. The wreath is stamped in Garden Green and I colored the little berries using the Real Red Stampin' Write marker. The ribbon I used for the bow is the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Real Red. I just tied a simple knot and attached it with a mini glue dot. The "Merry Christmas" greeting is from the stamp set Many Merry Messages.

I hope you love this card as much as I do!

Welcome Christmas Into Your Heart

Here are 2 more Christmas cards. I'm not sure why I'm posting in two's...but oh well. I guess it just feels like the thing to do. Ha Ha! Anyway, the two cards I am posting today are also cards from my lastest Stamp-a-Stack.

The first card is based on Crumb Cake (this is becoming one of my new favorite colors!). I used the Jolly Holiday DSP, which I TOTALLY love too! The stamped stocking images are from the stamp set "Sparkly and Bright" and the greeting is from the beautiful stamp set "Heard from the Heart." I used Crumb Cake Classic Ink and Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink for this entire card.

This next card I was a little iffy about. I really wanted to use white embossing powder but I wasn't sure about the black and white for Christmas. Once I had the poinsettia image stamped and embossed I decided to add a little red glitter to the center (thanks for the suggestion Lisa)! It really made the card POP! I just love the way this card turned out. Very simple, yet very elegant! The poinsettia is from the stamp set "Christ is Born" and the NOEL greeting is from "Many Merry Messages". Both are heat embossed with the white embossing powder and the heat tool. The glitter is the red chunky glitter.

First Nursery Pictures

Hi there! Hope your day is fantastic!

I just wanted to share a few pictures of our baby's nursery furniture. I don't have any bedding or decorations yet but we have the furniture up and in the room! We got a great deal on the crib and changing table and the dresser is a Christmas present to the baby from my inlaws! We love it!

I am looking forward to decorating and making it look like a 'real' nursery. So fun!

It's Christmas Card Time!

I just love making Christmas cards! It is my favorite time of year and everyone loves getting homemade Christmas cards! Especially me!! Hint. Hint. ;)

Well, we got to go back to school today on a 2-hour delay. The weather forecast is calling for more snow and freezing rain. Doesn't look like a good chance for school tomorrow, but you never know! Maybe just another 2-hour delay. All these missed days mean we will just be making them up. YUCK!

Anyway, these two cards are two that my customers made at my last Stamp-a-Stack. They are both very simple and use just a few pieces of paper or cardstock.

2 Christmas Cards

Hi there! Yes, it's been a while since I've posted. I have had a lot of things happening in my life lately and haven't had much time to sit down and actually post. I have made time to make cards, but posting isn't something I've been able to do. We had our second snow day this week today, so I thought I'd share a couple of cards. I should be cleaning my house instead, but....oh well. :)

However, some exciting news....I'm expecting a baby girl in April!!! This will be our first child and we are super excited...and a little scared too. :) I may post some beginning nursery pictures sometime. So check back later to see them!

Here are 2 Christmas Cards that I made this week. I love all of the new Christmas DSP, colors, and stamps!
The first one is very simple and a little "country" looking. The second card I used the Delightful Decorations Punch. I just love that punch!

Happy "Bee"-lated Birthday

While we were at the lake for our vacation, we didn't get to celebrate my husband's grandmother's birthday so I made her this birthday card when we got home. I used the "Just Buzzin' By" stamp set and on the inside (sorry I don't have a picture) I put "Hope you have a Happy "Bee"-lated Birthday!"

Friends Never Fade Thank You

This card is one I threw together for my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack. I like how three simple colors make a card so pretty! I randomly stamped the flower image from the stamp set "Friends Never Fade" on Very Vanilla CS using Baja Breeze and Soft Suede Classic Ink. The base card is Soft Suede as well. I used my 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Square Punches for the center image and popped them up on a Stampin' Dimensional. The bottom half of the card is Baja Breeze CS. Happy Saturday! Man, it has been a BUSY day for me and with this weather I've done nothing but sweat! I got up early this morning and went to the gym, came home and cleaned/organized my ENTIRE stamping room, mowed the grass, read some in my book, drove to Walgreens to get a new hairdryer because my exploded the other day (really, it did!), now I'm settling down to post on my blog. I did rent a movie (Hot Tub Time Machine) while at Walgreens for me and my hubby to watch later! Hope it will be worth my $1.00 (RedBox..LOVE IT! hee hee)

Anyway, enough about my day...lets get to this super cute, super simple card. This is a card my Stamp-a-Stackers will be making this month. I used the new Cherry Cobbler CS (#119685), which I absolutely love, and Very Vanilla CS (#101650). Hey, it's another 2-color card! The Very Vanilla I embossed with the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (#120175) and used a Stampin' Sponge Dauber (#102892) to ink up the embossed images with Cherry Cobbler SU Classic Ink (#119669). I stamped "get well wishes" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set (#115370) and punched it out with my Small Oval Punch (in the new catalog is called the 1-3/8"x5/8" Oval Large punch #119863)....weird name for such a little oval. Oh well...I also used my Sponge Daubler to put some extra ink on the surface of the punch and "Volia" a simple, elegant looking card! You can click on the picture to get a better look if you like! Of course, you can always change the greeting to fit your preference or need. You could also tie some Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon (#117291) around the card just under the Very Vanilla layer to give it a little extra something.

Look at this ADORABLE card I got from my upline, Tammi! I got this card in the mail the other day and my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw how darn cute it was! Happy Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday! I can't believe it is already August. Where did my summer break go? I am NOT ready to start back to school. Guess I'll have to enjoy what little time I have left...I am getting ready to head out this morning and I wanted to post a quick card before I leave. This is a card I made yesterday. I have not used this color combination before but I'm pretty happy with it. The base card is So Saffron stamped with the Sanded background stamp. I cut out a Top Note Die using my Big Shot in Rich Razzleberry. I had to trim some of it off so it would fit on the card. I stamped the cute cupcake stand (from stamp set "Crazy for Cupcakes") using Black Staz-On on Whisper White cardstock and backed it with Old Olive Cardstock. I used these Stampin' Write Markers to color: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, So Saffron, and Crumb Cake for the stand. I used some 1/4" Old Olive Grograin Ribbon and wraped the Whisper White cardstock along the bottom edge. The greeting comes from the stamp set "Fundamental Phrases".

Vampire Academy Book Series

Hi everyone! I wanted to do something a little different today. While I have been out for summer break, I have doing A LOT of reading...which is another cherished hobby of mine. I wanted to show you a series of books that I've read that I think are great! I absolutely love the Twilight Saga books and yes I have seen Eclipse (my favorite so far) but these books have become a second favorite. They are Vampire Academy books! There are 5 in the series and if you loved Twilight you will surely like these books too! Let me know if you have read them and what you think about them! Saturday Sketch Challenge...YEAH!

It's Saturday and there is a new Sketch Challenge. I am so excited about this one because it is so simple and so sweet! This is a card I could definitely do at a Stamp-a-Stack or workshop that wouldn't take long at all! I had a hard time deciding which stamp set I wanted to use. I finally decided on the "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set. I am tempted to make lots of cards with lots of different stamp sets using this sketch!

You're One of the Good Ones

TGIF! I hope everyone has had a great Friday! I would have posted earlier but it has been a BUSY day! I just got back from Spartanburg with my husband so I haven't had any time to post until now.
This is a simple 2 color card. I used Night of Navy and Very Vanilla. This stamp comes from the stamp set "Smarty Pants". I don't use this stamp set often and to be honest I only bought it for the "Friend, Good. -Frankenstein" quote for my Halloween cards. However, I do like how this card turned out. I used my Stamp-a-Majig to line up the stamp to make it my focal point. I'm not sure if you can tell or not, but I punched out several 1 1/4" Night of Navy circles and adhered them to the background on the card. Maybe if you click on the picture you can see them better.

Stamping 411 Color Challenge #134

I found this challenge today and had to give it a try. When I get in a stamping crunch and can't think of anything to make, Stamping 411 has great challenges and sketches that catch my attention. Here is the latest Color Challenge #134. I pulled out my Always Artichoke (which I rarely use) added some Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla.

I used the new Stamp Set "Friends Never Fade" for the images. Here is what I came up with!

Sorry the picture is a little crooked...not sure what happened (hee hee). I also used some of the new Daffodill Delight Taffeta Ribbon for a little added touch!

Here is a very simple card I made the other day using 2 colors. (I am on a 2-color kick right now for some reason..ha ha) Anyway, this card is made with Soft Suede and Cajun Craze! I used the stamp set "Thank You Kindly". The Cajun Craze piece was embossed with the textured plates from Stampin' Up. I used my large oval punch for the main greeting and I stamped it on Textured Soft Suede cardstock for a little something extra. Very simple and very easy!

Another 2-Color Card

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful day! I want to share with you a set of cards I made using the same style/stamp set but changing up the color a bit. I had a Partylite Party at my house a couple of weeks ago and I made these cute "Thank You" cards for my guests. Here are the lot of them!

I {Heart} Hearts and The Bachelorette (hee hee)

Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me today! The card I'm sharing today is made with the I {Heart} Hearts Stamp set. This is one set I can definitely say I am glad to own! I have used it so many ways!

The base card is actually a retired color (so sad). It is Lovely Lilac. Along with this card I used Rich Razzleberry Textured Cardstock, So Saffron, and Whisper White. The hearts were stamped with (left to right) So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry, Chocolate Chip, and Lovely Lilac (retired as well). The "love you" greeting is from the set "Short and Sweet". I just love these greetings because they are the perfect match of short and sweet...(hence the name!)

Ok Ladies, I gotta go get ready to watch The Bachelorette! It's "The Guys Tell All" night! Leave me a comment about who you think Ali will pick. Chris L. or Roberto???? Who Will It BE???

Oh well, guess we have to wait a whole other week to find out! :)

2-Color Card

Hi everyone! Today's card is a simple 2-color card. Very easy and only uses 2 colors! Who doesn't like a simple card? You could absolutely make this identical card with any other 2 colors you love! My base card is Crumb Cake(#120953) and the other layer is Baja Breeze (#111352). I used my brand NEW Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (#120175) on the first layer. I put a Crumb Cake strip layered with a Baja Breeze strip on the front near the bottom. I stamped the image from the stamp set Pocket Silhouettes (#111672). I stamped full ink on the first stamp and "stamped off" on each side of the first image then I punched it out using the 1-3/4" Cirlce Punch (#119850). "Because I Care" is one of the greetings from the Level 1 Hostess Stamp set "Because I Care".

There you have it! A simple 2-color card! Hope you like it! Enjoy!

My First Saturday Sketch from Stamping 411

Guess what? Two cards today and a little something new! I found this sketch at Stamping 411 and decided to make a card! This was a fun sketch because it was easy and when I saw it I knew I wanted to use my new "Party This Way" stamp set (wood: #118744 or clear: #120609) from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog!! This is actually the first card I have made with this set. I also used some new products. The cardstock base is Crumb Cake and the front layer is Marina Mist. The balloons I stamped and cut out. They are stamped with Marina Mist, Daffodill Delight, RidingHood Red, and Certainly Celery. The ribbon is the brand new 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Daffodill Delight (#119254). Two of the balloons I popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals. The cute "happy birthday" greeting is also from the "Party This Way" stamp set. The strings from the balloons are hand drawn.

Hi there. Just wanted to share this simple card with you. I'm not sure that I like these colors together...still not used to it. I used So Saffron as my base card. Chocolate Chip for the front panel. The circles are Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake an and punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I stamped the owl in Chocolate Chip and punched him out with the 1" circle punch. "Hello" is from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. The cute little owl comes from the stamp set Animal Stories. I used the Spiral Border Punch along the edge of the Chocolate Chip piece for an added effect.

Season of Friendship for Fall

Happy Friday! I just love Friday's even when I'm out for summer break. Not sure why... I guess it's just because the weekend is around the corner and my hubby is home with me! Anyway...I wanted to share this card with you today. My base card is More mustard. I used the new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (#120175) on Old Olive Cardstock. The tree is from Seasons of Frienship (#111776) and is stamped with Early Espresso Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the tree first then tore it out and sponged the edges of the torn paper. The buttons are actually retired buttons that I'm trying to use up, but Stampin' Up's New Designer Buttons in Brights (#119747) or Regals (#119744) would work perfectly! I tied some Hemp Twine (#100982) around the base if the tree, tied a simple knot in the front, and snipped the ends. The greeting "FOR YOU" comes from the Fundamental Phrases Stamp Set (#114968). I just love that set because it has EVERY kind of greeting you would need! The edges of the card and the Old Olive embossed cardstock were punched with the 3/16" Corner Small Punch (#119871). I popped the Old Olive piece up on Stampin' Dimensionals because the Hemp Twine lays behind it. I hope you like this card. There are SO many possibilities with this tree!

Welp, we are back from our vacation! We had a great time at the lake fishing, tubing, napping, reading and eating (ha ha) but I am glad to be back home.

I am posting this card today that uses the Because I Care Stamp set. I am very happy with this card. I used Early Espresso, More Mustard, and Very Vanilla. The squares are punched from the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" square punches. I used a retired More Mustard Button in the center. The flower is stamped with the Early Espresso Ink. I didn't add a greeting only because I think this card is a great "anytime" card because it is sweet and simple with a touch of class. I added the flower to the inside of the card and I love the way it turned out! I hope you like this card! Enjoy!

Happy Friday! Well, my vacation trip will begin tomorrow. I've been getting ready around the house so that when I leave, there will be less to do when I get back....or at least that's the idea. We have rented a lake house on Lake Keowee and will be staying there for a week. I'm excited and I'm ready for some true relaxation on the water!

The project I want to show you today is a little note card box I made using the Envelope Die for the Big Shot. I cut out two envelopes and made two panels for the sides. I used Chocolate Chip cardstock and the Greenhouse Gala DSP from the New 2010-2011 Idea book & Catalog! Two of the cards are made with Chocolate Chip and two are made with Baja Breeze because they match the DSP. (you could also use Wild Wasabi, Daffodill Delight, or Real Red since they are all colors within the DSP) Isn't it just lovely? I made 4 sweet 3x3 notecards to go on the inside, 2-Thank you's, 1-Wish big, and 1-Best Wishes from the Short and Sweet Stamp Set. I also used the Greenhouse Gala DSP on them so they coordinate with the box. I added a Clear Rhinestone Brad to the front for a little "bling" and tied some Chocolate Chip 1/4" Grograin Ribbon into a simple knot around the box.

This is a project that you can make in ANY color with ANY Designer Paper. I think I'll be making more of these. I just love the versitility! Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions!

2 Cards Today!

I am back with 2 cards today! Since I have been out of school for the summer, I have been in the mood to just make cards! I am also planning a Stamp-a-Stack for July 29th and so I am getting prepared for that also. These are NOT cards we will be making for my SAS but just some new supplies I have been experimenting with. This first card is made with 3 new products from Stampin' Up. First is the Newsprint DSP (which I LOVE!), the New Daffodill Delight color cardstock and ribbon! I stamped the image from Upsy Daisy and heat embossed it with Black Embossing Powder onto Crumb Cake Cardstock. I weathered the edges a little by simply running my fingernail across the edge. The greeting "Thank You" comes from the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set. I punched out a 3/4" circle and a 1/2" circle and placed a black brad in the middle. I attached the Crumb Cake piece using dimensionals so the brad could fit comfortably underneath. The next card I made is a simple card using Soft Suede, Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, Daffodill Delight, and Whisper White. The image was stamped with Soft Suede and it is from the Hostess Stamp set "It's the Thought" I used my Stampin Write Markers to color the cute little flower and vase. I embossed the Cajun Craze cardstock with my Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and used the Scallop Border Punch along the bottom edge. I used the "tearing technique" to add some definition to the card. This card was quick, simple and perfect for an "its the thought" card. Here is an upclose picture of how I colored the image with these Stampin' Write Markers: Cajun Craze, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede, and Daffodill Delight.

Hi again! I made this card using the Party Hearty Stamp set and I cased a card from the New 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. The base of my card is Pacific Point. I used Read Red and Whisper White for the front. The "banner" is made with the party hats. I used the Stampin' Write Markers to color the hats, stamped them, and cut them out. Here are the colors I used: Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodill Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, and Elegant Eggplant. I adhered them to a strip of Early Espresso cardstock I cut out. I made two cards and used different ribbon on each. I also used different colors for the Scallop Punch greeting "and many more." I used my paper piercer to to pierce holes in the scallops. Hope you like! Enjoy!

Friendship

Hello there! I wanted to show this card I made today using the Seasons of Friendship stamp set. I just adore this set because there are so many possibilites....(as there are with ALL Stampin' Up stamps sets.) ha ha...Anyway, my base card is made with the Real Red and Crumb Cake (new name for Kraft). I used the Scallop Border punch along the edge for a little something extra. I stamped the tree on Very Vanilla using Chocolate Chip and stamped the leaves with Old Olive. Some of the leaves I stamped off first. I stamped the little bird in Real Red, cut him out, and popped him up on a Stampin' Dimensional. The tree and bird are backed on a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock and the whole piece is popped up on dimensionals as well...that is so the Chocolate Chip 1/4 Grograin Ribbon could slide through. I tied a simple knot in the ribbon. The greeting "The season of friendship lasts forever" is also in this stamp set and is stamped on Very Vanilla. I free hand cut out the little "ribbon" tag for this greeting. I hope you like this card! Email me with any questions!

Heather Summer's Simply Sunday Sketch

Heather is back with her Sunday Sketch and I am thrilled. This is a neat challenge and I'm always up for a challenge. You can check out Heather's Blog here to see her sketch pattern and her sample card! When I saw this sketch I wanted to make something simple and could be used for anything. I LOVE the little bees from Just Buzzin' By, so I decided to add one onto the front of my card. I also wanted to incorporate some of Stampin' Up's new products. My base cards uses the new Daffodill Delight and the Greenhouse Gala DSP. I stamped the little bee in Black Staz-on and punched him out with the 1 1/4 punch. I layered the bee onto a 1 3/8 circle of the same DSP and layered those onto a Scallop Circle in Daffodill Delight. I colored the bee with my Blushing Bride and Daffodill Delight Stampin' Write Markers and added a little BLING to his wings with Dazzling Diamonds. As you can see, I pierced the scallops on my Scallop Circle with my paper piercer.

Cheep Talk

Hi everyone! Today is my husbands 31st birthday so we will be doing lots of celebrating. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD! :) I thought I would show a quick card today. This cards was made with the Cheep Talk stamp set. I used Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery, Daffodill Delight, Marina Mist, and Old Olive. The "hello there" greeting was stamped with Black Staz-on. I used Versa Mark for the branch image and ran the Certainly Celery through my Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet Folder. The circle punches are the 1 1/4", 1 3/8", and 1".

Firecracker 5K

Happy Tuesday! So, I wanted to share with you something I did over the weekend. I decided that I wanted to start running some races this summer, just as a personal goal. I ran a 5k about 3 years ago with husband, but it was just because I wanted to see if I could do it. About a month ago, I signed up to run in the Firecracker 5k. I have been training on a treadmill, using an incline, because I knew the course had a few hilly parts. So here are some pictures of the race.

Red, White, and Blue Stars

Hi everyone! Guess what I did today?? I ran in the Firecracker 5k race this morning, mulched all of the flowerbeds at my house, and put up our firepit (the husband and fam helped with that). What a productive day I've had! I will be posting pictures of the 5k another day.

On to the card...This card is an easy made card using Stampin' Up's Star Punches. The background card is Crumb Cake with a strip of Night of Navy along the edge. The bow is Real Red 5/8 Grograin Ribbon. I added a few nice touches with the brad, linen thread, and cute button. The "celebrate" greeting is from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. Oh, and I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on the bigger stars!

I just had to make a couple of cards using my new Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel. I saw this and just had to have it because it is so darn cute! These two cards are very similar but it seems like when I roll the wheel, I have a hard time gettin the same image to roll across so I just roll and hope for the best! Ha ha! I used Bordering Blue (retiring color), Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Daffodil Delight for this card. I used Stampin' Up Markers to color in the cute little onesies. I hope you like this card. I will definitely be making some more cards with this Jumbo Wheel. I LOVE IT! Enjoy!

Because I Care...

So here is another simple card I made the other day. I wanted to share with you a Brand new Hostess level 1 stamp set in the Brand New Idea Book & catalog coming out July 1st, 2010 called Because I Care. I am planning on using this stamp set with more cards and will hopefully post them in the near future. The base of this card is used with Old Olive. The strip along the middle is Very Vanilla and I used the Textured Impression Plates to give it some texture. The hydrangea image was stamped and punched out with the 1 1/4 square punch and layered onto a 1 3/8 Old Olive Square. I stamped both the flower image and the "because I CARE" image using Black Staz-on. Very simple, yet very classy! Hope you enjoy this card!

Happy Sunday! I sure am enjoying being off for the summer and boy am I making A LOT of cards! I love it when I can just stamp for fun and not have to worry about any stress! This is a card I made, just because! For this card I used the retiring color, Ruby Red for my base card and for the cute little crab. He is stamped in Black Staz On ink and he is from the new Hostess set "It's the Thought". I made the front of this card like a little pocket using the former Kraft, now Crumb Cake color (love the new name!!), backed on Chocolate Chip. I used a staple to attach the hemp thread which is about 1 1/2" long. I used the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder for the top layer of Crumb Cake cardstock. The scallop trim punch was used on Bashful Blue cardstock and layered at the bottom. This card was pretty simple and has just the perfect touch to make it super cute! Hope you like it!

Sweet and Simple Circles

What a busy day I've had!! Well, I have to admit, seeing the movie "Grown-ups" was on my list of things to do today. After my much needed mani and pedi, I met my husband and inlaws at the movie theater to see this movie. I had seen the previews and in hopes that it would be worthwhile so we got tickets. Boy, was it good...and FUNNY! If you haven't seen it, you definitely need to. What a great family movie with a great meaning! Then, this evening, my aunt Patty had a Partylite party at her house so I had to make an appearance! Ha ha! Needless to say, I spent too much money! A girl needs candles like a girl needs stamps!

Just sayin...

Anyway, this card is one I made with the retiring Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel. The little adorable bumble bee is from the stamp set "Just Buzzin' By". I adore this set with the cute little bees!

They are so PRESH!

I can't believe it is already almost April! Where has this year gone? It just seems like yesterday that we were ringing in the new year 2010!!! Anyway, today I am sharing the cards that my girls will be making at my April Stamp-a-Stack. I had a request for a "Thank You" theme and so I thought, "Why not?" So here they are!

I decided to try to feature the Incolors Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Bermuda Bay,Soft Suede, and Stampin’ Up Designer Paper. These colors are so vibrant and fun!

Progressive Card

Ok, so I get up this morning and start looking at some of my favorite Stampin' Up blogs. One of my favorites it Heather Summers (http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/). I came across her idea of making a progressive card and thought, "Hey, I can do this!" I have never entered into any type of challenge before, so I thought I'd give it a try. Her challenge is to take a 3x3 note card, design it, and turn it into a regular standard size card. Here is my 3x3 card:

I wanted to use some paper from the Sale-a-bration paper pack so I thought I'd use these cute little trees. I like the single Pumpkin Pie tree so I wanted to add a little more Pumpkin Pie to my card with the oval punch. I thought this would be a cute and simple "Thank You" card. Hi there! It has been forever since I've posted anything. I have been so busy lately that I haven't even had a chance to do any stamping for myself, let alone, work on my blog. What a day! We got out of school 2 hours early today because of a blizzard warning. Funny things is, there was no snow, just a few flurries. However, there was high wind speeds and very low temperatures so I guess that's why..?? Oh well, needless to say, I got a lot done!

For the smaller heart, I first stamped the image in Pretty-in-Pink Stampin' Classic Ink. I then took my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker (the marker tip) and directy applied color to the rubber around the designs on the image. Then I stamped and Volia!!! Hi all! I am so sorry for the late post. I went with my husband to the race track today. He tested his car in Jackson, South Carolina and we just got home!!! I am SO excited because I got my CLEAR MOUNT BLOCKS today!!! I have been hestitant to getting them just because the wood blocks work just fine for me but I caved. Fishes, Wishes, and Kisses

Happy Monday! I'm actually supposed to be at work today, but we have NO SCHOOL because of the snow from the weekend. The roads are still bad but hopefully they will thaw off some today and we can go back tomorrow. This card is a simple Valentine's Day card I made with the stamp set "Whoo's Your Valentine?." The scallop oval is actually punched through the front of the card and the fish are on the inside. Pardon me for not taking a side view picture. Hello there. I wanted to share with you this card I made for a friend. I had some Pacific Point and Baja Breeze cardstock (retired In Color) and ribbon that I wanted to use so I thought it would work well for a masculine card. Of course, you could subsitute any color you have. Chocolate Chip goes with ANY color! :) I layered Chocolate Chip in between and stamped my image in Chocolate Chip too. I sponged around the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

I had my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack last month and here are some pictures of my preparation. I was a very busy girl! This was the biggest turnout ever...you know, EVERYONE loves making Christmas cards! I had 11 girls total! :) Oh...and I tied over 160 little red bows for my guests!!! They were very thankful. :) My guests made 4 different cards, 5 of each card for a total of 20 Christmas Cards!! "Girly" Birthday Card

Hope your having a great day! I am excited that I only have one more day to work until Thansgiving break!!

This is a cute "girly" birthday card I made. The base is the Melon Mambo cardstock(#115320) and the designer paper is the Razzleberry Lemonade (#115675). I stamped the balloons from the stamp set "Crazy for Cupcakes" (#111618) and used the Stampin Markers (Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry - these come in a set of 6 - (#116329)) to color them in. The "Party Hearty" greeting comes from the stamp set Party Hearty (#111532) and it fits perfectly inside the Word Window punch (#105090) then layered on the Modern Label Punch (#116630) that was punched out in Rich Razzleberry cardstock (#115316). Very simple, yet very cute! Enjoy!

Simple "Thinking of You..." Card

I love super easy cards! This card is made with the Bashful Blue cardstock (#105120) and the Bashful Blue DSP(#112151). I used the stamp set Thoughts and Prayers (#113252) for the image. I layered the image on Bashful Blue cardstock and tilted it a tad to give it a little character. I just ordered the new Platinum Shimmer Paint (#116807) and I think I'm going to try it out on this card to give it a little sparkle! I hope you like this card. :)

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Today I have a Christmas Gift Card Holder that would be the perfect Christmas present for someone! I like to give gift cards and so here is a great way to make one super cute! This card is made with the Real Red cardstock (# 102482) and the Merry Moments Designer Paper (#115672). The belly band is made from Very Vanilla cardstock (#101650) and the bow is made with the 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grograin Ribbon (#109051). The image is from the Hostess Level 2 set Christmas Punch. I stamped the image in Garden Green ink (# 1022272) flipped the stamp over, removed the ink from the flower and used my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker (#100052) to color it back in. Then I stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock (#101650) and then used the Scallop Oval Punch (#114889) to punch it out. This is a great Hostess stamp set because all the images have a coordinating punch! (that means no cutting! Yeah!)

On the inside, I used the Word Window punch (#105090) to cut the slit for the gift card.

Here are the dimensions for this card.

Real Red Cardstock : cut at 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 3", 5 1/2", and 8"

Fold on score lines "accordian style"

Merry Moments DSP: cut @ 2 3/4" x 4" (adhere to front)

Apply adhesive to the back side (only put adhesive along the edge of the back side

so the gift card will slide in)

Belly Band: 1 1/2" x 7"

Wrap Belly Band around front of card and adhere.

Tie on your ribbon and add your greeting.

Faux Quilt Thanksgiving Card

Here is a card I made for fall/Thanksgiving. I saw this faux quilt idea from Dawn Griffith's website. The background card is Taken with Teal (#101584). I used 1 3/8" square punch (#103375) with the Autumn Meadows DSP (#116769). I puched random designs from the paper and layed them down side by side. Then I ran the squares through the Big Shot (#113439) using the Top Note Bigz Die (#113463) and tied a ribbon around it with the 1/4" Grograin Ribbon in Chocolate Chip (#109051). The acorn image is from the Autumn Splendor Stamp Set (#116503) in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I sponged around it and attached it to scallop circle (#109043). I used my Mat Pack (#105826) and my Paper-Piercing Tool (#116631) and poked a hole in each scallop. The greeting is from the Falling Leaves Stamp Set (#115368) and punched out with the Word Window Punch (#105090) and backed with the Modern Label Punch (#116630). I use this punch A LOT! I think it makes the perfect little touch and there are so many sayings that fit perfectly inside! I hope you like this card! I love the fall colors in this designer paper. They are beautiful!!

Baby Girl

A friend of mine from school had a baby shower this week and I had to make her a card. I haven't had to make many baby shower cards so I was a little skeptical. This card turned out better than I expected. I love the Dazzling Diamonds (#102023) with the pink cardstock! (Pink Pirouette is a retired in-color) I used the Animal Stories (#116716) stamp set and the Short & Sweet stamp set (#115108) for the greeting. "Welcome Baby" is stamped in Jet Black Stazon (#101406) and punched out with the Word Window Punch (#105090) and the Modern Label Punch (#116630) The star is made with the Large Star Punch (#110710) layered with the Star Punch (#109045). It has Dazzling Diamonds TOO!!! :) I layered designer paper on the base of the card. The ribbon is Whisper White organza ribbon (#114319) tied in a simple knot. My friend loved this card and I hope you do too!

Masculine Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made for my father-in-law last month. I used the stamp set "Crazy for Cupcakes" (#111618) on Taken with Teal Cardstock (#101584). The Designer Paper is from the Autumn Meadows (#116769) from the Holiday Mini. I used the Scallop Edge punch (#112091) on the DSP. I also used the new Modern Label Punch (#116630) for the greeting. The greeting came from the stamp set Warm Words (#115108). I added the 5/8" Grograin Ribbon in Chocolate Chip (#109051) to give the card a nice little touch. Masculine cards are sometimes hard to make but this one worked out great! Enjoy.

Happy Halloween!!!

I wanted to share with you these cute Kit Kat Mummies that I cased from Angie Kennedy Juda's website Chic'n Scratch. I made these for some of my coworkers for Halloween. I love making Halloween treats. This was one of my favorites and very easy to make. The googly eyes make it super cute! Enjoy!
